What are you most looking forward to this year in the Shoemaker Scholars?
I am most looking forward to working with the other 9 scholars who are some of the most interesting and inspiring people I have met on campus, our discussions always spark meaningful conversations. One main objective I hope to accomplish this year is making the Schomaker Scholar Program a well-known and well-marketed program that is recognized by students across the university.
What innovative or entrepreneurial projects are you working on this year?
The two big organizations that I have started are:The Sachh Foundation: aims to connect young leaders around the world and bring them together to join forces and work together on the Sustainable Development Goals by the United Nations. We aim to start the largest network of young leaders working together globally creating the world’s largest youth campaign for the Global Goals.People of IU: People of Indiana University is a means to connect, educate, and inspire. We find and showcase the hidden, impactful, breathtaking, and inspiring stories from our IU Hoosiers.
What’s one piece of advice you have for IU students with regard to innovation and entrepreneurship?
One key piece of advice I have is, “I think there is a big difference between striving for better every single day and being unhappy with where you already are. If you want to get somewhere you need to first acknowledge where you already are and how far you have already come.”
