What are you most looking forward to this year in the Shoemaker Scholars?
I’m hoping to learn a lot more from a community of like minded individuals about entrepreneurship but also to help spread resources across campus!
What innovative or entrepreneurial projects are you working on this year?
I’m working on a AI system that helps analyze legal documents quickly. To help eliminate redundancies, using natural language processing it is possible to be able to quickly scan and understand legal documents. This technology can be used in order help people with limited access to legal support systems and resources.
What’s one piece of advice you have for IU students with regard to innovation and entrepreneurship?
I always live by the motto “just reach out!” If it’s someone who seems like a good mentor, a good resource, or just someone interesting to bounce your ideas off of — just reach out to them. People are a lot more willing to talk and help you out with your ideas than you might think. From fellow students to professors to heavy academic and industry professionals, the world is literally your oyster.
